Long Exposure & Mixing of light Workshop

The release of brand new Long Exposure Portraits & mixing of light Workshop from Studio 211 & Tarun Vachhar Photography on 26th & 27th, January 2019 . We’ve put together this one-off workshop that incorporates all the elements of original Colour and Exposure Workshop, but with the addition of the incredibly creative lighting techniques that will cover with video & broncolor lights.

This new long exposure and mixing of light workshop will cover the following

The workshop has been designed to cover all aspects of mixing of lights photography in the studio.

Mixing of light is an incredibly fun and satisfying technique to use as it implements so many skills to get the perfect shot. We will discuss and show you a multitude of lighting tools and how to incorporate items you already own as well as more professional light shaping tools

We will then then move onto using long exposure lighting on our backgrounds to create pin-sharp model shots but with a sense of movement around our subject.

How the day of the workshop will be broken down

Introductions

A theory session where we go through many factors that we need to know before we dive straight in to shooting.
The first session is where we will build several simpler lighting setups to demonstrate the knowledge covered in the theory session.
Break for lunch
The second shooting session of the day is where we will take what we learnt in the morning about colour temperatures and introduce long exposures into the mix. This next setup will work with more lights and get the shooter to think about how their camera movement affects the shots when the shutter is open for extended periods.

The Second Day shooting stage of the day will introduce yet more elements so that we are now working with multiple lights, coloured temperatures, coloured gels plus model and photographer movement. This final setup may sound complicated and although it is, the both day’s learning has been building to this stage and by the time we get here we will be well equipped to capture some truly unique and stunning imagery.
